Finally Finished

I finally got the "Big" girl and "Big" Boy quilts finished. Brad had been making Kyles Big Boy Bed, and Kyle will have one of Grandma's "Magic Quilts" to sleep with it. I got a train pattern fabric because of all the amazing toy trains Brad has made, and are in Kyles bedroom.
Mia's "animal name" is Mingo, short for flamingo. I was so excited to find flamingo fabric. Mia has been in a big girl bed for ever, the "Magic" Blanket, will help her sleep through the night in her own bed ... maybe! I sure love these little cutie pies. They seem all of a sudden grown up. The plan was to have the quilts finished by their first birthdays. Well, they will turn 3 in June, so not to bad. I better get started on Joshua's now!

Adventure with Kyle

Grandma and Kyle had their first away from Grandmas House Adventure. We went to the La Habra Childrens Museum. They had buttons to push, Busses to drive, drums to pound on. Everything a little boy loves. We had a fun time. Will go again soon.

Special Days with Special Girls

On our Nora Grandma Day, Nora learned how to weave hot pads. She does a great job. I am looking forward to my hot pad stash being replenished.

Sara got to choose a new Barbie for the Barbie House. She spent a lot of time setting it up just right. Always fun to have them come and play.

Just trying to get a picture

All I was trlying to do was get a picture of all five on the glider, looking at Grandma and smiling!
I will keep trying!

Happy Valentines Day

This was the Valentines "Surprise" we got from our granddaughters. Mia told me they had a surprise in the car. The child can not keep a secret. This was so special. It took a lot of time and work and Grandma and Grandpa love you too!

Happy 60th Andy

Andy turned 60! So we thought we would do something different from our normal celebrate Birthdays at Sunday Dinner. The original plan was to go to Ferrall's Ice Cream Parlor, who knew you had to book months in advance! So instead we went to Shakeys, we remember liking the Pizza. There were balloons and a cute hat, and a root beer float for Andy! The Pizza, chicken and potatoes were ... interesting. I didn't have to cook or clean up! Yeah for that! We then went to Boomers to go miniature golfing. Sara, Mia and Kyle had never been. I am surprised they didn't come out and kick us off the course. All those houses, and Castles were to climb in ... right! What did the chains mean any way? Andy and I actually got some "Hole in One's" Watching the grandchildren was a laugh a minute. For some reason no one got behind us. We were strung out over about 4 holes. There is a huge discount when your group is larger than 10, I think we will go again. The rain didn't start until we got to the 19th hole!

Daddy Daughter Grandpa Date

One night last week, Andy got a phone call. A sweet little voice was on the line, "Grandpa, my school is having a Daddy Daughter Dance, and if you come, Sara can come too!" So he went. He asked Sara what he should wear. ( I think he was concerned that it might me some crazy theme dance) Saras answer was, " Oh, grandpa, you just have to look handsome." In the picture Andy looks like he has a halo! Fun times.
