I realized that I don't just post cute pictures of my grandkids here. I can also ramble on about stuff.
A friend of mine has decided to make 97 quilts this year in honor of Pres. Hinkleys life. I thought it was a great idea. But for me 97 quilts is not realistic. I will however have 3 done this month by the time I finished teaching a humantarian quilting class. So I thought about some of the areas President Hinkley focused on....Humanitarian, Perpetual Education Fund, and Temples, and lots of other stuff.
I could do 97 Humanitarian Kits, Hygine, School, Newborn, Quilts, or contribute $97 to the Perpetual Education Fund, or do 97 ordinances in the temple. I am thinking that it will be a combination of all of the above. It is something I am pondering. Just thought I would share.

They all sound like noble causes. It's a good idea. For me, I'll try to get 3 quilts done. Sara's from when she was a newborn (that's a scary pattern...it's all applique), Holly's from Christmas (that one will get done as soon as I uncover my quilting room again- it's currently stocked with furniture for the guest room that's next to it), and a newborn quilt for Laura's baby due in June. I'd better get things going!
